Yoyogi Pony Park – Tokyo Riding Club

One of the very few place where you can play with animals in Tokyo is Yoyogi Pony Park. Yoyogi Pony Park is inside of the Tokyo Riding Club which is the most expensive horse riding club in Japan.

From 1:45 pm to 2:30 pm on Wednesday and Thursday, 1 – 4 year old children can ride a pony with their parent whose weigh is less than 60 kg. Children under the age of 12 can try hand-led rides.

You can enjoy the ride safely as the friendly staff always walks with the pony.

4 -6 ponies with cute eyes are welcoming you. If you miss the activities above, there are other activities that you can interact with ponies such as feeding carrots, brushing pony. You can enjoy all these activities for free of charge.

As this area is surrounded by a forest of Meiji-Jingu, the atmosphere is so peaceful and you will forget that you are in the middle of Tokyo. If you look up the sky, you can see NTT Docomo Yoyogi Building which is a landmark of Yoyogi.

For the tourist with small children, this place is a good place to take a break while your children have an exciting experience. If you want to try horse riding as well as your children, Tokyo Riding Club has a class for visitors.

After visiting Yoyogi Pony Park, you go through the entrance of Meiji-Jingu feeling sense of mystery. You can also drop by Yoyogi Park and enjoy the nature. Harajuku station is located in the opposite side of the area, you can find nice lunch place in the shopping town.

Yoyogi Pony Park is 2 minute walk from Sangubashi station (Odakyu line) conveniently located in front of Nishi – sando (west entrance of Meiji-Jingu).
