Next to Meiji-jingu Shrine, there is a giant green oasis, Yoyogi Park.

Yoyogi Park is one of the largest city parks in Tokyo which contains different landscapes, forests, fountains, beautiful green carpets, gorgeous flowers including cherry blossoms for late March to early April and a large bird sanctuary.

Walking around the park feeling nature sound will give you relaxed moment in the busy modern city. People are having picnic, hanging out or doing exercises and much more. Street musicians, dance units, cosplay people (dressing in costume as a manga character) and performers are also often there.

Every weekend, a variety of festivals and events are held such as Okinawa Festival, Japan/Indnesia Friendship festival, Brazil festival, Thai festival and more different country’s festivals as well as Earth Day Morning Market, Eco Life Fare, Salsa Street and much more. You never be bored to visit this park.

There is a Yoyogi Park Cycling Center which bicycles can be hired for hourly fee and the park contains concrete cycling truck through the beautiful forest. Dog Run is also available near the Cycling Center.

Yoyogi park is open 24 hours 365 days with free entry for everyone.
It is accessible from JR Harajuku Station, Yoyogi Koen Station (Chiyoda Subway Line) and Yoyogi Hachiman Station (Odakyu Line).
