torayaAfter you enjoyed shopping and walking in Ginza area, why not stop by and have a rest at Ginza Toraya Karyo? Toraya, which is one of the most popular brands of Japanese sweets,was founded almost 500 years ago. At the 1st floor of the Toraya building, they sell many kinds of seasonal, high quality Japanese sweets called wagashi in Japanese.

On the 2nd floor, there is a cafe, Toraya Karyo, where you can enjoy those sweets with many varieties of Japanese green tea. It is the cafe you cannot miss if you are a lover of wagasi, which is made mainly from beans and sugar with no butter or oil. Anmitsu, which is made of agar jelly, sweet bean paste and a variety of fruits with sweet black syrup ,is one of the popular sweets at this cafe.
