Things to do in Yokohama

Yokohama is a port town located 30 minutes from Tokyo Station. It is located in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture and has Japan’s second highest population after the Tokyo metropolitan area. It opened its port as a concession to foreigners during the Edo Period and continued to develop.
Even today, there are still many buildings that have a foreign flavor to them. Redevelopment is currently underway and there are many commercial facilities to be found here. Buildings such as the 269m tall Yokohama Landmark Tower and Yokohama Cosmo World with its giant Ferris wheel are symbolic of Yokohama.
There is also the Cupnoodles Museum for Japan’s version of the instant noodle, where you can see the different processes that go into making it. A little away from here is Japan’s largest Chinatown – there are a variety of towns to enjoy.
