The Sunshine City Aquarium in Sunshine City is an interesting aquarium with many creatures, including some which are not technically aquatic. It has several unusual display areas. Including popular features such as the “Sunshine Aqua Ring” with its view of sea lions swimming overhead and the dreamlike “Jellyfish Tunnel.” Attractions include a sea lion show, animal feedings like penguins and sea otters as well as divers swimming with the fish. While the huge, deep water spider crabs from Izu bay are very impressive.

Located on the 10th floor of World Import Mart, Sunshine City building in Ikebukuro, Tokyo.
Access: 10 minutes walk from East exit of Ikebukuro Stn. (JR Yamonote Line, Seibu Ikebukuro Line & Tobu Line)
Opening hours are usually – 10 am – 8 pm from April 1 to October 31, and 10 am – 6 pm from November 1 to March 31.

    It is good location where I can go easily since it is in the center of Tokyo. It’s very convenient so I think it is poplar.

    It is good place to vist after shopping in the Sunshine city.

    My grandparents used to take me here for summer vacation, and I still remember I enjoyed there very much! One of my favorite fish at this place is sunfish (or Ocean sunfish). It is nice that you can also enjoy shopping at sunshine city before or after visiting this aquarium!
