Many tourists visit and enjoy Nakamise Arcades there. This temple is the oldest in Tokyo, which was build back to 628. No wonder it has become one of the most popular places to visit in Tokyo. The first temple was built by a village leader near Sumida River, when the stature was netted. Since then the buildings have been destroyed and rebuilt many times. The present main hall of the temple was completed in 1958.
