Samurai residence in Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture (Near Narita Airport)

If there is free time for you , e.g. approximately 4-5 hours during your stay in Tokyo or 2-3 hours at Narita air port, it must be a good idea to visit [Buke-yashiki, or Samurai residence] in Sakura City, near Narita airport.

They are accurate reproduction of samurai family houses in the late Edo period (1603-1868).
In the quietness of dim living room, kitchen and bath-room, you will feel as if you were the samurai living there in 18th-19th century as well as you see
on the spot the real lifestyle of samurai family.

If you can stay there for longer hours, you may also visit [ Sakura Castle ruins Park] and [Old Hotta residence ] where Sakura’s last feudal lord Masatomo Hotta lived in 1890’s.
