How to Make an Origami Syuriken (Throwing Knife)

This is one of work tools of the Ninjya, called “Syuriken” in Japan.  It means “Throwing Knife.”

This paper toy is very familiar for Japanese children .  Enjoy to make it and play with children!

Origami Syuriken Instructions

«You need 2 sheets of paper»

1: Hold in half

2: Fold in half again

3: Do the same with the different colored sheet of paper.

4: Make a crease down the center, then fold both ends diagonally along the crease.

Fold the second piece of paper in the diagonally opposite direction to the first one.

5:  Turn over the first one, and fold into the corners to make  triangle.

Fold the corners of second one into the reverse side.

6: They are now complete.

7: Rotate the second one by 90 degrees and place on top of the first one.

8: Fold the corer  of the lower piece of paper into the pouch on the top of the other one.

9: Turn over and fold the corners of the lower piece of paper into the pouch of the other one.
