Hachi: A Dog’s Tale is an American human drama film directed by Lasse Hallstroem featuring Richard Gere as its main character. It’s based on the true story of a faithful Japanese dog who waited and waited for its master in front of Shibuya Station. Although its master had already died in the second year of having Hachi as his pet, Hachi kept waiting for him for nine more years until the day of its death, attracting more and more attention of Tokyoians at that time. The statue of Hachi was built in 1934. Since then it has been one of the most popular meeting spots in Tokyo. You can find it right in front of JR Shibuya Station.

    I always use this statue as meeting spot with my clients. Although this area is busy, I surely find them.

    This place is so famous as meeting spot. There are always a lot of people. I watched this movie and it was touched story about this dog.
