Among many restaurants in Ginza, there is a Japanese restaurant called “Ginza Uchiyama” where you can eat Japanese dishes using the ingredients of four seasons. Although “Ginza” is included in the name of the restaurant, it is a little away from the Ginza station itself, and you can walk from Higashi-Ginza station or Shintomicho station for 3 minutes instead.

“Ginza Uchiyama” is at the first floor of the basement, and when you enter the restaurant, there are several counter seats and table seats in a quiet, typical Japanese style space. The counter seats have enough space between each seat, so you can enjoy your meal within your own space without being bothered by people next to you.

It is open at lunch time and dinner time, and you should better make a reservation in advance since this restaurant is so popular among people who love delicious Japanese dishes. “Ginza Uchiyama” provides simple basic Japanese dishes but you will be surprised at its sophisticated, deep flavor.

The restaurant’s specialty is “Tai-chazuke (sea bream porridge)”. You can eat the fresh sea bream by dipping it into the thick sesame sauce and eat with the rice, or you can put the sea bream on the rice and pour green tea over it. The texture of the fresh sea bream is like a shrimp, and the special sesame sauce with the wonderful aroma of nuts go well with it. There are also little side dish to enjoy together. At lunch time, they only provide this “Tai-chazuke“.

If you also want to order other menus, visit at dinner time. One of the recommended menu is “Baked Goma-dofu” which is tofu-like food made from sesame paste and starch. The outside is crispy and the inside is creamy, and yoy can enjoy the fragrant smell and deep taste of the sesame with adding little soy sauce and Japanese horseradish.

Have a wonderful meal and enjoy the magnificent Japanese culture at “Ginza Uchiyama”!!
